INDUSTRIAL CORROSION PROTECTION

PPFRP, PVCFRP Storage Tanks Vacuum Receiver

Manufactured by Plastic Fabricators

Industrial storage systems need to be much more than just liquid containers. Tanks used in various industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, electroplating, water treatment and manufacturing plants are often exposed to harsh chemicals, temperature changes and tough working environments. Choosing the right materials is crucial in order to ensure long life span, process reliability and safety of operations.

The company Plastic Fabricators offers PP FRP and PVC FRP Storage Tanks, Reaction Vessels, Vacuum Receivers, Rectangular Tanks and Pickling Tanks for industrial applications involving corrosion. Made using the well-known dual laminate construction principle, the tanks consist of Polypropylene (PP) or Rigid PVC and Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) which provides the tank with reliable operation even in tough conditions. The company's portfolio includes self-supported vertical tanks, horizontal tanks, reaction vessels, vacuum receivers, rectangular process tanks and fabricated tanks in volume starting from 200 litres up to 150,000 litres. Each of the units is produced to client's specification and undergoes quality checks that include spark and leak testing before delivery.

TECHNICAL DATA

WHAT ARE PP FRP & PVC FRP STORAGE TANKS?

Storage tanks of PP FRP and PVC FRP are industrial chemical storage tanks that are designed for safe storage, treatment, and transportation of aggressive chemical substances.

In contrast to metallic tanks that might be corroded in case of usage in aggressive chemical environments, the dual laminate tanks use a combination of two materials:

Inner liner of polypropylene (PP) or rigid PVC ensures high resistance of tanks to various acids, alkali solutions and corrosive process liquids.

An outer shell made from fibreglass reinforced plastic (FRP) ensures the necessary strength and durability for mechanical loads and working conditions in an industrial environment.

Such design of the tank ensures not only chemical but also mechanical properties for usage in different purposes.

The tanks from Plastic Fabricators are designed for each particular application taking into consideration the required storage volume, temperature range, the media processed, the nozzle pattern, installation conditions and other parameters.

WHY MATERIAL SELECTION MATTERS?

Material selection for the tank is of utmost importance for keeping up product integrity, safety during operation, and increased life of the equipment.

Many factors like the concentration of the chemicals, temperature, pressure, and time duration of the process all play a role in determining material compatibility. The use of double laminate PP FRP and PVC FRP materials helps in providing good corrosion resistance and strength, and thus becomes a common choice.

At Plastic Fabricators, we start each project by determining our client’s process needs in order to provide recommendations for proper material and tank configurations.

Physical Properties

Each of the processes requires specific storage and handling. These include the type of chemicals to be stored, operating temperature, process conditions, environmental factors and layout of the equipment among others.

Plastic Fabricators offer a full line of PP FRP and PVC FRP Storage Tanks, Reaction Vessels, Vacuum Receivers, Rectangular Tanks, and Pickling Tanks to customers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, electroplating, water treatment and process industries.

All these products are custom-designed to offer high performance, durability and resistance to any of the corrosive process media. The capacities vary from 200 liters to 150,000 liters and nozzle configuration, support structure and other accessories are available based on the project specifications. Each of these tanks undergoes spark and leak tests before delivery.

Why Industries Choose Dual Laminate Tanks

🛡️
Excellent Chemical Resistance Due to the PP or PVC inner liner, which is chemically resistant to a number of corrosive substances, it is possible to prevent the tank's destruction from the effect of such substances. It is suitable for use in the case of various acids, alkalis and solutions depending on process conditions.
💪
High Structural Strength Thanks to the FRP outer shell, which strengthens the thermoplastic liner, it is possible to provide mechanical strength needed for the large capacity tanks and the tough environment of an industry.
⚖️
Lightweight Construction Being lighter than a lot of usual metal tanks, PP FRP and PVC FRP tanks can be transported easily without loss of reliability.
🔧
Low Maintenance Thanks to the fact that inner lining is resistant to corrosion, the maintenance process is significantly simplified compared to most metals tanks.
⚙️
Custom Engineering All tanks are engineered with regard to capacity, chemical compatibility, temperature, pressure / vacuum conditions, nozzle arrangement, foundation, and installation location. Thus, the final product fits the customer's process needs.
