INDUSTRIAL CORROSION PROTECTION

FRP PULTRUDED GARDEN BENCH PATTI
& WOOD-LOOK BENCH SLATS FOR OUTDOOR SEATING

Manufactured by Plastic Fabricators

Outdoor benches take a lot of punishment. Sun, rain, dust, cleaning, and daily use slowly wear down ordinary timber and painted metal. A bench may still look fine when installed, then start cracking, fading, rotting, or rusting after a few seasons. Our FRP pultruded garden bench pattis are made for outdoor seating. They have the appearance of wood, but they do not bring the same maintenance problems. The pultrusion process gives each patti a consistent profile, while UV stabilisation helps the finish handle long-term exposure to sunlight.

Use them to build or replace the slats on garden benches, park benches, campus seating, roadside furniture, and other outdoor installations. We manufacture in India and supply projects across the country.

TECHNICAL DATA

WHAT IS AN FRP GARDEN BENCH PATTI?

An FRP garden bench patti is a pultruded fibreglass-reinforced polymer profile used as the seat or backrest slat of an outdoor bench.
It is made by pulling glass fibres through a resin system and a forming die. This creates a consistent profile with strength running along the length of the patti. The finished surface is designed to give a wood-like appearance without relying on natural timber for its structure.
FRP bench pattis are used for public benches, garden furniture, park seating, school and college campuses, walkways, housing societies, roadside spaces, and commercial outdoor areas.
Compared with timber, FRP does not rot or attract insects in the same way. Compared with painted steel, it does not rust. The product is also lighter than many metal alternatives, making handling and replacement easier.
The patti is the seating component, not the complete bench. It is fixed to a suitable supporting frame, which may be made from FRP, metal, concrete, or another material selected for the project.

Why Industries Use FRP Bench Pattis?

🚫
No Rust FRP does not rust like steel. This is useful for parks, roadside seating, coastal areas, and places where the bench is washed or exposed to rain.
🌳
No Timber Rot The patti is not natural wood, so it does not rot in the same way when exposed to moisture.
☀️
UV-Stabilised Finish The pattis are UV stabilised to help them handle outdoor sunlight and reduce fading or cracking caused by exposure.
🪵
Wood-Look Appearance They give the bench a warmer, more familiar appearance than a plain industrial plastic or metal seat.
🔧
Lower Maintenance There is no regular rust removal or timber polishing cycle. The bench still needs cleaning and inspection, but the surface does not depend on a paint layer for protection.
⚖️
Lightweight Handling FRP is lighter than many steel alternatives. This can make installation, replacement, and movement around the site easier.
💪
Good Strength-to-Weight Ratio The glass reinforcement gives the profile strength without making it unnecessarily heavy.
💧
Suitable for Damp Locations FRP can be used in gardens, parks, poolside areas, coastal locations, and other places where water and humidity are common.
Electrical Insulation FRP has low electrical conductivity compared with steel and aluminium. This may be useful in selected public or industrial settings, although it does not replace electrical safety planning.
🔄
Consistent Replacement Parts Using a manufactured profile makes it easier to replace damaged slats with pattis of the same general section and appearance.

TYPES OF PRODUCT

When you work with chemicals, you need tools you can count on. That’s why we make our scrapers, spatulas, and scoops from virgin polypropylene – they’re built to handle tough jobs without letting you down.

Garden Bench Patti

Seat Slats

FRP pattis can be fixed across the seat frame to create the sitting surface. The frame and support spacing should be designed for the expected use and load.

Backrest Slats

The same type of patti may be used for the backrest, subject to the bench design and fixing arrangement.

Replacement Bench Slats

Existing benches can sometimes be refurbished by removing damaged timber or metal slats and fitting new FRP pattis to the existing frame. The frame should be checked before reuse.

Curved or Angled Designs

Some benches have curved backs or angled seating. The patti, frame, fixing method, and bending limitations must be reviewed before confirming the design.

Custom Bench Projects

For a new park, campus, or landscape project, the patti can be considered along with the frame style, colour, number of slats, seat depth, backrest angle, and installation method.

WHERE FRP BENCH PATTIS ARE USED?

FRP pultruded bench pattis are suitable for projects that need durable, low-maintenance seating components.
  • Public Gardens
  • Municipal Parks
  • School and College Campuses
  • Housing Societies
  • Corporate Campuses
  • Resorts and Hotels
  • Railway and Metro Areas
  • Bus Stops
  • Walking Tracks
  • Zoos and Recreation Areas

They can be used for the seat, backrest, or both, depending on the bench frame and design.
A PRACTICAL MATERIAL COMPARISON

FRP PATTI VS TIMBER, STEEL AND ALUMINIUM

Different materials can be used for outdoor benches. The right choice depends on the appearance, location, maintenance plan, budget, and expected use.

Feature FRP Steel Aluminium Timber
Corrosion resistance High Low without protection Medium to high Not applicable in the same way
Rust resistance Does not rust Can rust Does not rust but may oxidise Does not rust
Rot resistance Does not rot like timber Not applicable Not applicable Depends on species and treatment
Weight Low High Low Medium
Outdoor maintenance Low Requires coating care Usually low Requires sealing or treatment
Electrical conductivity Low High High Low
Appearance Wood-look options Painted or coated Metal finish Natural wood
Manufacturing consistency High High High Varies with timber

Important: FRP is not automatically the right choice for every bench. It is a strong option when the project needs an outdoor appearance with less concern about rust, rot, and repeated repainting. The supporting frame still matters. A well-made patti cannot compensate for a weak frame, poor fasteners, or incorrect spacing.

ORDERING REFERENCE

CUSTOM FRP BENCH PATTIS

FOR PROJECTS THAT DO NOT FIT A STANDARD BENCH

Not every bench has the same seat length, frame, or design. Plastic Fabricators can discuss project requirements for new benches and refurbishment work.
Custom discussions may include:
  • Patti length
  • Seat and backrest requirements
  • Number of slats
  • Wood-look colour or finish
  • Replacement of existing timber slats
  • Fitment to an existing frame
  • Bulk supply for park or campus projects
  • Cutting to project lengths
  • Sample approval
  • Packaging for site delivery
  • Supply across India
Send a drawing, photograph, sample patti, or bench dimensions for review. For larger projects, a physical sample can help confirm the appearance and fit before production.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

HOW TO KEEP FRP BENCH PATTIS LOOKING CLEAN

FRP pattis are made for outdoor use, but they are not maintenance-free in the sense of never needing attention. The routine is simply lighter than with many traditional materials.
  • Wash off dust and dirt when required
  • Remove bird droppings, food, and chemical residue promptly
  • Check the frame and fasteners during cleaning
  • Tighten loose fixings before the patti starts moving
  • Inspect the ends for damage or exposed fibres
  • Do not drag heavy objects across the seating surface
  • Avoid harsh chemicals unless compatibility is confirmed
  • Replace a cracked or badly damaged patti
  • Check coastal installations more often for fastener corrosion

The frame often needs more maintenance than the FRP slats, especially when the frame is made from painted steel.
